Fabric Care

BAMBOO RAYON BLENDs

Bamboo fabrics will maintain their special qualities when washed in cold to warm water (up to 60 degrees Celsius) with a gentle detergent, free of bleach. You may want to use a gentle cycle for some finished garments and fabric types. If necessary, bamboo fabrics may be tumble dried on low. Note: Fabrics containing vegetable dye should be dried away from direct sunlight.

Washing
We recommend washing rather than dry cleaning for our Bamboo fabrics. Use the gentle wash cycle or hand wash and use a good brand of gentle soap, powder, or liquid. We recommend that you don't use bleach. Chlorine bleaches often causes yellowing.
If hand washing, rinse well to help prevent staining caused by oxidation of cellulose by the leftover soap build-up.

Fabric pilling can be prevented to some extent by proper washing and care. Wash your garments inside out on a shorter wash cycle with gentle agitation and remove them from the dryer promptly. To remove fabric pills, stretch the fabric over a curved surface and carefully cut or shave off the pills.

Drying
Line drying in the sun is best, if possible. Machine drying is okay, but don't overdo it! Over drying can result in damaged fabrics.

Ironing
Ironing is easier if you do it when the is slightly damp.
Dampen the hemp first and see how you go.

Avoiding fabric stretch
Jerseys have elasticity in them. If it is hung, the weight of the item may stretch and pull it down. You’ll eventually lose the shape of your garment. This is the same for jersey fabrics. Don’t hang it as it will stretch. Once you make something out of it, it might be misshaped.  For jersey fabrics, it is best to fold them neatly and fold them away. Do the same for garments.

Supplex / Nylon

Supplex/ Nylon fabric offers consumers the feel of cotton with the benefits of advanced fibre technology. Cotton's natural texture and aesthetics make it the fabric of choice in many garment categories. Garments made with cotton tend to crease and shrink easily, and they often fade in colour. We wanted to give consumers the benefits of cotton, without the pitfalls. They did so by developing SUPPLEX® fabrics. Not only anti-abrasion, but also anti-tear. It is also breathable, holds shape, resists pilling, dries fast, retains colour, and can be UPF 40 built-in sun protective. It's uniquely 100% nylon but has all the advantages of a cotton product. When combined with Spandex, it can bring comfort, fit, and freedom of movement. This fabric is suitable for making activewear for yoga, ballet, and or gymnastic.

Care Instructions:
